Outline about 'Taste, Culture and Style'

The new project engage in research about the society we're living in. While the topic is announced, lot and lots of thought flood into my mind, sounds more like writing a piece of paper for it. Anyway, making notes is always a good way to document the thought, so I have outline the field of interest for this project.

First thing first, I should introduce myself in order to clarify my perspective towards the research, since cultural responses involve both individual and the environment we are living in. I am international student from Malaysia. I have been study in England for about three years. I am a Malaysia-born Chinese if you prefer. Neither my parents are from China. According to history, our grand-grand~parents were brought to Malaysia as slaves during 2nd world war. So, for me I'll position myself as Malaysian with the ethic of Chinese.

For this project, I'm interested in comparing the culture of England and Malaysia, also involve the whole Asia. I hope to reflect England from the angle of being a foreigner from Asia. This should raise the problem of conflict and cultural impact between countries.
