As in last day of university term (18 Dec 2015):
While major project and long essay marched in parallel during the first term, I am obviously very distracted by the long essay and less attended on major project. On the bright side, researching for long essay did clear some problem on my practice did in the major project; the dark side, I've done two draft before to make my content relevant to theories and my practice, and I am really weak in writing, slow in reading and understanding theories is time consumed. Good news is, my draft had finally approved and I can now start writing! Bad news, 6000 words is stressing me.
So, during the holiday, I aim to finish the long essay by the end of December and will check back occasionally before the deadline. After get rid of the essay burden, I will need to catch up with my project to prepare for the next term.
Last week I was drilling on my essay and it is about to end. I have one chapter that I wish to rewrite but now I am quite exhausted in writing. I think I am going to leave it for a while and come back to it when I get the idea clear. I may also go back to check all the conclusions in sections and chapters, see if I can make it clearer. Here is where my essay at so far.
Plans for the rest of the days before start of next term:
- For the next few days, I planned to fill in all the "missing" post as according to Research and Development notes on reflective journal and also my progress on major project.
- While I visit London, I will definitely visit V&A museum this time and some other places where have traces of Japanese culture which I will reveal in other post-- Traces of Japan in Britain.
- I will also try to quick make 5 drawings for Book illustrations competition which last entry on 8 of January.
- Lots of work for major project also, and prepare 2 or 3 finished work to show on the critique after terms start.
- Review my major project proposal and make amendment.
- Last but not the least, make sure essay is completed in good shape before deadline.
